NSCALE DATA CENTERS

Nscale data centers.
What public records show.

Nscale filed to go public in September 2026. It reports about 25,000 active GPUs and about 1.37 GW of active and contracted capacity, mostly in Europe so far. We checked its three US sites. Two are billing according to their landlords. The largest, in West Virginia, is still awaiting its air permit.

Each site sits at the highest stage a record supports. Announced megawatts are shown beside the records, never added to them. A missing record does not mean a site is behind. Many counties publish nothing online.

BEFORE YOU SIGN

Ask which site
backs your quote.

Company totals do not tell you whether your allocation is live. These questions tie a proposal to a site you can check.

  1. Which site will host my cluster? Ward County and the North Carolina site serve Microsoft, and the West Virginia campus is contracted to Anthropic.
  2. Is the capacity in my quote already live, or part of a phase still being commissioned?
  3. If my capacity depends on the West Virginia campus, what happens if its air permit or financing is delayed?
  4. What happens to my payment and commitment if delivery slips?

Notes on these records

  • Nscale's 1.37 GW figure combines active and contracted capacity. Its S-1 gives no separate active megawatt figure.
  • The Monarch Phase 1 IT load and the company-wide figure are both about 1.37 GW. They measure different things and are not related.
